Services provided by the Holy Metropolis of Paphos
 
1. Religious Enlightenment
The Office of Religious Enlightenment cares for and coordinates:
a) the operation of the Catechistical schools of all levels
b) the operation and issues of Bible Study
c) the operation of summer camps of the Metropolis
d) the preaching of theologians and religious lectures in parishes, communities, radio and television stations.

a) Catechistical schools.
In sixty villages and parishes of the Metropolitan Region of Paphos Catechistical schools are operated by priests, theologists, professors, teachers and other qualified people for this.
b) Christian Bible Study.
In several communities and parishes Christian bible study operates for men and women. The issues are defined by the Office of Religious Enlightenment. Priests and Theologians, men and women, who are specially trained for this perform the Bible study.
c) Camps
At summer, Catechistical school camps work for pupils (male and female) on the premises of the Metropolis near Paphos in Agia Moni Area close to Panagia Village. The camps are organized and functioned by  catechists of the Metropolis of Paphos.
2. Family Support
Advice to spouses and mediating between the spouses in the event of problems.

 3. Catechism for Christians of other dogmas or people from other religion. Adult Baptism
Many of the Pontus Greeks, the Georgians and generally the originating from the former Eastern countries, because of conditions prevailing there, were not baptised as infants. Those of them that desire firstly need to be catechized and learn about the Orthodox faith. The same applies to Muslims and believers of other religions who want to convert to Christianity. The catechism is either in Greek or English.

4. Youth Center of Metropolis of Paphos
With concern of the former Bishop of Paphos Mr. Chrysostomos the 2nd (now Archbishop of Cyprus) was founded and functioning since 1997 the Youth Center of the Metropolis of Paphos. This Center is located close to the Metropolis and contains: a library, rooms for teaching, lectures, computers and gymnastic. It also has several games for the children and a coffee shop. It is staffed by experienced and qualified staff. In the center the teaching of Computer, Painting, music, Byzantine music are delivered free of tuition and in general all the services in the center are offered for FREE.

6. Conferences
During the year clerical conferences are held every month in the metropolis of Paphos.
7. Library
In the building of metropolis of Paphos a Library operates in outlining past and modern versions for use by stakeholders. The library serves as a lending library.

8. Byzantine Music Schools
In Care of Bishop of Paphos Georgios, the following schools of Byzantine Music run:
a) In Paphos: the Byzantine Music School "Jacob Antzoulatos, under the direction of Mr Solon Xatzisolomos.
b) In Geroskipou: Byzantine Music School under the direction of Fr John Pantopiou.
c) In Polis: Byzantine Music School under the direction of Mr. Mixalakis Charalambous, Theologian and former headmaster.
d) In Kissonerga: Byzantine Music School under the direction of Fr Andrea Ch. Panayi
Schedule: for children: every Saturday 12:00-13:30.For adults every Wednesday 18:00 to 19:30.
e) Byzantine Music School under the supervision of Mr. Christou Aristidou. The School is housed in the Youth Center of Metropolis of Paphos.
Schedule of Mr. Christos Aristidou: Monday 18:00 to 19:00, Tuesday 17:00 to 19:00 and Thursday 18:00 to 19:00
The courses are FREE from charge.
9. Conservation Laboratory of Icons and Manuscripts.
With cooperation of the Holy Metropolis of Paphos and the Monastery of Panagia Chrysorrogiatissa a maintenance workshop works for images and manuscripts under the direction of the Abbot of the monastery Dionysius.
10. Army Service
Every month holiness sermons and preaching are done in army camps of the area of the Holy Metropolis of Paphos. Also the sacrament of Holy Confession is performed prior to major holiday periods.

11. Foundation "Panagia Therapist"
With concern of the former Bishop of Paphos Mr. Chrysostomos the 2nd (now Archbishop of Cyprus) a temple, honored on the name of Virgin Mary the Therapist was constructed at the area of the General Hospital of Paphos for the needs of the hospital and for this a Foundation was founded, named ‘Panagia Therapist’. Priests of the Metropolis of Paphos often visit the hospital in order to support patients and for the performance of Divine Liturgy.
12. Christian Youth Union "Stavraetoi"
With the blessing of the former Bishop of Paphos Mr Chrysostomos the 2nd (now Archbishop of Cyprus) was founded in 1996 in Paphos a youth organization called "Stavraetoi". The purpose of the organization is the education and socialization of young people in accordance with the principles of the Orthodox faith and tradition. The organization carries out weekly local gatherings and operates camping site for members close to Peristerona village of Polis Chrysochous.

13. Charity Foundations
a) "Margarita Liasidis". With the spiritual guidance and chairmanship of the Bishop of Paphos Mr. Georgios in the precinct of the Holy Temple of Saint Panaretos in Koloni village an Institute called "Margarita Liasidis" works with a purpose to protect and integrate into the society children with special needs.

b) "Foundation Petrideion". With the blessing of the former Bishop of Paphos Mr Chrysostomos the 2nd (now Archbishop of Cyprus) and the generous benefactor of our city, Mr. Christodoulos Petrides, was established in Paphos an institution to grant "scholarships to excellent students, both in ethos and performance.
 
14. Byzantine Museum
Within the Metropolis of Paphos a Byzantine Museum operates and shows pictures, utensils, vestments and manuscripts.
